GG Buddy ("the app", "we", "us") is a directory that helps PC gamers find
teammates. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you
have over it.

If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may give us a private relay email
address (@privaterelay.appleid.com) instead of your real address. We treat
that the same as any other email address and never attempt to unmask it.

Region is a coarse, self-selected value from a fixed list (for example
"Hong Kong", "Europe"). We do not collect GPS or precise location.
Per game you add: in-game handle, rank or rating, role/playstyle,
preferred maps or civilisations, hours per week, usual play times, and any
notes you enter, plus links you choose to add (for example a Steam or
FACEIT profile URL).
The Steam, Telegram, Discord and LINE handles you enter. **At least one is
required**, because GG Buddy has no built-in chat — connecting happens on
the platform of your choice.
Please note: these handles are shown to other signed-in users who open
your profile. Only enter handles you are comfortable sharing with other
players. They are deliberately excluded from bulk search results and are
revealed only when someone opens your individual profile.

We use it only to:
overlapping play times.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for marketing, or
automated decisions with legal effects.
When your profile is set to appear in search, other signed-in users can
see: your display name, handle, region, languages, bio, game profiles, your
approximate last-active status, and — when they open your profile — your
contact handles.
You can hide your profile at any time with the "Appear in search" toggle
on the Me screen. Blocked users cannot see you, and you cannot see them.
Your email address is never shown to other users.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or where necessary to
investigate abuse or protect the safety of users.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists.
You can delete your account at any time from the app: **Me → Delete
account**. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. This permanently
removes your account, profile, game profiles, saved players and blocks.
One exception, for safety reasons: if you have filed a report about another
user, the report itself is retained so we can act on it, but it is
anonymised — it is no longer linked to you.
If you cannot access the app, email us at samleecf01@icloud.com and we
will delete your account on request.
GG Buddy is intended for users aged 17 and over. The app contains
user-generated content and lets users exchange third-party contact details.
It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from
them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will
remove it.
Access to your data is enforced at the database level: users can read and
write only their own records, contact details are withheld from bulk
queries, and the keys that allow administrative access are never included in
the app. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and
will notify you of any breach affecting you as required by law.
Our database is hosted in Singapore (ap-southeast-1). If you use the app from elsewhere, your
information is transferred to and stored there.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct,
export, restrict, object to, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw
consent.
Most of these you can exercise directly in the app: edit your profile at any
time, hide it from search, or delete your account. For anything else,
contact samleecf01@icloud.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU/UK you may also complain to your local data protection
authority. If you are in Hong Kong, you may contact the Office of the
Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
We may update this policy. If changes are significant we will notify you in
the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the
current version.
